Min Group Size: 1 / Max Group Size: 12

Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of those classical treks where you get to experience the grandeur of spectacular Himalayan ranges and appealing natural beauty amid remoteness. Manaslu Circuit Trek Nepal is one of the less crowded treks, which makes it more exclusive and unspoiled for trekkers seeking thrill in quieter routes. This trek takes you to the base of Manaslu (8156m), the 8th highest mountain in the world, and walks you through amazing monasteries amid traditional settlements.

Manaslu Circuit Trek Itinerary starts with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. After a brief stay in Kathmandu valley, the trip begins at a very low altitude in Arughat and progresses slowly to the highest point of the trek, i.e., Larkya La Pass (5160m), which is always adorned with colorful prayer flags. During the Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal, you will cross spectacular suspension bridges, terraced fields, pasturelands, waterfalls, and experience many Buddhist rituals and practices. You will pass through the subtropical jungle at lower altitudes and witness remarkable mountain views. The trek requires some tough walking amid the glaciers and moraines, and sometimes strenuous climbing on stone steps, but also allows you to walk through beautiful Mani walls encrypted with Buddhist prayers. The trek package not only allows you an opportunity to enjoy exquisite views of the snowcapped mountain peaks like Himlung (7126m), Cheo Himal (6812m), Larkye Peak (6249m), Annapurna II (7937m), and Manaslu (8156m), but also allows you to experience the vivid culture of Gurung and Nupri locals. Manaslu Circuit Trek, hence, is fulfilling in every way. The best season for this trek is from March to May in spring and September to November in autumn.

Swiss Family Treks and Expedition provides you with the best tours and trekking services in Nepal. Our team of local experts makes sure your trek becomes a memory to hold on for life. You will have an amazing time with our friendly guides who are usually English speaking locals. Similarly, you will be accommodated in a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu and the best available hotel/teahouse/lodge/home-stay in the trek duration.

Highlights of the Trek:

  • a high pass crossing at Larkya La 5200m, both geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating,

  • Manaslu Circuit Camping Trek, 16 Days and Chitwan National Park, March 23 - April 14, 2013

We read about the Manaslu Trek and Swiss Family Treks in a local newspaper in Switzerland and we knew immediately that this would be our trek.
During the planning phase, Stephan and his team replied patiently to all our questions and gave us some useful hints about Nepal. Once we arrived in Kathmandu, we felt right away that the SFT Team really cared about us and that our trip went well. The beautiful mountain scenery, the tiny villages high up in the mountain and the friendly Nepali people let us quickly forget our problems back home. We were spoilt by our guide Kharma Sherpa, the cook and the friendly porters. Even after a long hike carrying heavy bags on their backs (or rather on their heads) they were always smiling at the end of the day and prepared the campsite for us. The highlight of the trek was definitely the crossing of Larkya La pass at 5100m with the huge peaks everywhere around us.
After our 16 days trek, we wanted to "relax" a little bit in Chitwan National Park. We soon realized that the jeep safari and elephant riding with an outside temperature of 40°C was not really relaxing though...but so worth it. Where else can you see rhinos 5 meters away from you.  And the elephant bath was quite refreshing.
Thank you SFT for the great time we had in Nepal. It was the time of our life...
