Everest Panorama Trek for Families, 11 Days

Days: 11 / Difficulty: 2 of 5 (Moderate)
Min Group Size: 3 / Max Group Size: 6

Imagine yourself getting close to the highest mountain in the world, Everest (8848.86m), with your family. Enjoying the mountains and the rural trails with your spouse and children can be one of the most memorable trips in your lifetime. Everest Panorama Trek for Families is a trek with the moderate difficulty level that provides strikingly stunning mountain views that your children will remember forever. You and your children get to mingle with the local Sherpa community, to live their unique lifestyle for a few days, and to soak into their vibrant culture. Everest Panorama Trek for Families is an opportunity to spend some quality time with your family (including children) in the lap of the Himalayas, surrounded by tranquil nature and warm people.

The Everest Panorama Trek for Families starts with a flight to Lukla, which marks the beginning of the adventure. Your children will thoroughly enjoy the amphitheater styled settlement of Namche Bazaar. The trail is driven by an earthy smell and the tingling sound of the bell around the yaks and donkeys. Throughout the trek, you can enjoy the magnificent views of mountains including  Everest (8848.86m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Nuptse (7861m), Thamserku (6623m), Kangtega (6782m), Taboche (6542m), and Cholatse (6440m) among others. The children will cherish the blooming pink, red, and white flowers as you trek amid rhododendron forests. Crossing the suspension bridges and walking along the rivers will make them a fearless person. As you cross several villages on the way, interacting with local children, observing their lifestyle, and experiencing the rural routine will certainly develop a sense of respect and empathy in your child which will shape him/her into a better human being. Your children will also get an insight on Buddhism as the trail reaches Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the Khumbu region, and also the highest altitude of this trek. Thus, immersing in the peace and serenity from this area with your children is something out of this world.

Swiss Family Treks and Expedition specializes in family trips and offers various treks and tours packages inclusive of children. Our experienced guides are English speaking and are extremely friendly, so your child will not be left bored during the trek. So that, kids will love the animals and we definitely suggest you to rent a horse during the trek for giving extra fun for riding to prevent little legs from getting worn out. It is better to book a horse for the whole trip (it is not possible to arrange horses instantly), or you can hire a porter to carry your child below 5 years old (we provide carriers imported from Europe). Kindly, note that you should have reserve day after the trek since we understand that the flights are subject to delay sometime due to bad weather. We urge you to utilize your child's vacations and book a trip with us.

  • EVEREST PANORAMA LODGE TREK AND CHITWAN TOUR AND NAGARKOT TOUR 21 DAYS, FROM 22 APRIL TO 20 MAY 2016

Hello again Stephan,
Some comments: In the spring of 2016 I traveled in Nepal through arrangements made by Swiss Family Treks and Expedition Nepal. A dedicated staff paid close attention to all details so that transportation, lodging and trekking and site seeing all ran very smoothly. My guides and guide assistants could not have been kinder or more careful through out visiting the Khumbu area (Everest Panorama Lodge Trek), on the Champa Devi day trek (for acclimatization) or on the Nagarkot trek.  A safari tour in Chitwan (elephants and rhinoceroses for a start) was also included as were some initial acclimatization days (visiting cultural sites) in the Kathmandu and later in the Namche Bazaar areas. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire stay leaving with the sense that Nepal had offered a great deal culturally and religiously along with so many awesome mountains and natural beauty.  It seems that one visit is only the start.  Spring is perhaps less crowded though my visit was close to a year after the earthquake.  Also spring weather can have both clear and hazy days.  This seemed minor compared to the adventure of the trekking. I have confidence that the Swiss Family Treks and Expedition Nepal can work out a trip you will very much enjoy and recall with enthusiasm.
