Tamang Heritage Trail Family Lodge Trek, 11 Days
This is a one of the new and unique non tourist area trek opened to visitors only since 2004 in Langtang region. It is our pleasure to invite you to join us on our Tamang Heritage Trail for the natural beauty, traditional cultures, Buddhist way of living, experiencing their genuine warmth and welcome, rich architecture of their mountain house, wilderness experience, ancient monasteries and beautiful landscapes of alpine terrain. This trek also offers Natural Hot Spring, wildlife around the secret lake of Parbati Kund, the picturesque village of Gatlang with its people’s traditional dresses and typical dances, excellent view of Snow-capped Mountains and a stroll along Rasuwa Gadi another form of the famous Chinese wall. You have a great view of mountains like Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan mountains and other peaks.

Itinerary in detail
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport and meet with our airport representative at the airport and transfer to Hotel by private car. Welcome drink and refreshment, relax. Stay Overnight in Hotel.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi 1460m by private vehicle 6-7 hours,
In the morning after breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi by private vehicle which takes about 6 hours. The road is quite smooth until reaching Trisuli and you have lunch here. After lunch, the road follows roughly with dust till Syabrubesi. You have great views of Langtang Lirung and Ganesh Himal during the drive. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 3: Trek from Syabrubesi to Gatlang Village 2238m/6-7 hours,
In the morning after breakfast, you continue steep ascents until Rongga Bhanjyang which takes about 3 hours. Then the trail descends till Goljung village which takes about 45 minutes. You stop for the Lunch. After lunch, you continue again gentle up until reaching Traditional Tamang village in Gatlang. It takes about 3 hours. You can visit the Parbati Kund which offers rich biodiversity for the nature lovers. You can also visit the ancient old monastery. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 4: Trek from Gatlang Village to Tatopani 2607m/6-7 hours,
In this day, you start your trek gentle descending passing the many Chhortens and Mani wall and through the deep forests until reaching Chilime. It takes about 2 and half hour. Then you cross by suspension bridge and climb up passing the terrace until reaching Gonggang village which takes about 1 and half hour. You have lunch here. After lunch, the trail gentle ascends until reaching Tatopani. It takes about 2 hours. You can take natural Bath in hot spring. It is believed that to take a Bath in natural Hot Spring, washes away all the Pains and aches. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 5: Trek from Tatopani to Nagthali 3165m/4-5 hours,
In the morning after breakfast, you continue through the forests to reach in Nagthali view point. The trail is up and down till Brimdang where one monastery is situated on the hill. It takes about 2 hours. Then the trail gentle ascends until reaching Nagthali view point which takes about 2 hours. You have lunch here. You have a great view of Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Himal and other snowy peaks. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 6: Trek from Nagthali to Timure 1762m/6-7 hours,
In the morning after enjoying with Himalayan scenery and sunrise view, the trail descends till Thuman village which takes about 1 and half hour. You can stop for Tea break because you do not find any hotel till Timure. Then you again descends till Bhote Kosi Nadi and cross by suspension bridge. Now the trail continues upstream of Bhote Kosi until reaching Timure village which takes about 4 hours. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 7: Excursion to Rasuwagadhi 1815m and back to Timure
In this day, you start your trek to Rasuwagadhi after breakfast. The trail gently ascends until reaching Rasuwagadhi which takes about 2 hours. This is an old trade route to Tibet and the historical fort of Rasuwagadhi. After visiting the Rasuwagadhi back to Lodge which takes about 1 and half hour. You have lunch and stay overnight in Lodge.
Day 8: Trek from Timure to Briddhim 2230m/5-6 hours,
In the morning after breakfast, you continue the trail upstream of Bhote KOsi until reaching Lingling which takes about 3 hours. You have lunch break here. After lunch, the trail gently ascends till Briddhim village. It takes about 2 hours. This is a small and beautiful Tamang village. It offers Himalayan culture experience in the form of Home-Stay. You can visit an ancient old monastery. Overnight in Home-Stay.
Day 9: Trek from Briddhim to Syabrubesi 1460m/5-6 hours,
In the morning after breakfast, the trail gently descends through the Rhododendron Bushes till Wangal which takes about 3 hours. Then you continue your trek until reaching Syabrubesi. It takes about 2 hours. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 10: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu by private vehicle 6-7 hours,
Today, drive back to Kathmandu by our private vehicle. Firstly the rough road till Trisuli and have lunch. Then the road is smooth until Kathmandu. It takes about 6 hours. Transfer to Hotel.
Day 11: After breakfast depending on your schedule transfer to International Airport.
Our Tour Package includes;

Our Tour Package doesn't include;

* Any kind of alcoholic drinks, cold drinks, laundry, phone call, internet.
* Personal Trekking Equipments like sleeping bags, jackets (can all be hired in KTM)
* Emergency Evacuation (Helicopter Rescue).
* Any costs which arise due to a change of the itinerary, because of landslides, political disturbance, and strikes etc.
* Any other costs whatsoever, that is not mentioned in the cost included.
* Horse renting and additional porters due to natural calamities during the trek.

Tipping is expected but it is not mandatory.

|Easy trekking by Himalayan standards is generally up to 2000m. There are plenty of ups and downs on well-maintained trails. This type of trip is best suited for those who lead a reasonably active life. The trek takes about 3 to 7 days, walking about 4 to 5 hours a day.|
|This involves longer treks (five to ten days) on maintained trails. This type of trek includes day excursions to higher elevations, for which it's advisable to have some previous hill- walking experience. On these treks, we generally achieve an altitude between 900m to 3000m.|
(Moderate to strenuous)
|A reasonably demanding trek at an altitude up to 4000m with side trips to higher elevations. The trails are sometimes uncharted and away from inhabited areas.|
|These treks must be fully supported. We climb to altitudes between 3500 and 5000m. & there are overnight stays at altitudes above 4000m. For this trek, trekkers should be fit & enthusiastic hill walkers prepared to tackle difficult terrain in remote areas.|
|This trek is best described as Alpine, and suitable is suitable for those in excellent health, capable of carrying a backpack, when required. The trek covers very remote areas, traveling over snow-covered passes at an altitudes of up to 6500m. You will need to axes and crampons. No strenuous trek should be undertaken without medical clearance.|
|Standard||Ideal for backpackers, students, travellers, very basic accomodation 1 * or none*, group travel in bus.|
|3 Star||Nice ** to*** star hotel ideal for the normal traveller family, couples, hotels are clean and monitored by our company, breakfast usually included. Travels are in van or 4 seater jeep.|
|4-5 Star||**** to ***** star Hotels with all possible international comfort, where available SAT TV. SPA etc. brekfast included for the traveller who wants to be spoiled , travelling in privat car, Jeep.|
There will be a cancellation fee of 25% for any cancellation three weeks prior to Tour departure date, 50% two weeks prior to Tour departure date and no refund thereafter. No refund for no shows & delay arrivals whatsoever reason.
