Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1338m
On the day of your arrival, we will receive your family at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. From the airport, we will drop you at the hotel. In the evening, you can take your kids for a short walk around the streets of Thamel. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara 820m/25 minutes, drive to Phedi 1130m and trek to Dhampus Village 1650m/3 hours
On the second day, we will fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara which takes about 35 minutes. From Pokhara, we will drive to Phedi, which takes about 1 hour. Our real trekking starts from Phedi, where we will start our 3 hours trekking journey to Dhampus. On reaching Dhampus village, we can relish a nice meal while enjoying the views of Annapurna massif, Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri. Overnight at a lodge in Dhampus.
Day 3: Trek from Dhampus Village to Tolka 1700m/5 hours
From Dhampus Village, we start our trek towards Tolka. Passing through the rhododendron and oak forest, with the Annapurna in the backdrop, will be an exciting sport for your children. After some descend, we will come across a huge canyon of Modi Khola and then enter a big Gurung village of Tolka. It can take up to 5 hours to reach from Dhampus to Tolka. Overnight at a lodge in Tolka.
Day 4: Trek from Tolka to Jhinu Danda 1780m/5 hours
The fourth day starts at Tolka, where we will have to descend through numerous stone staircases. If the descend becomes difficult for your child, you will have plenty of rest. This day, you will pass through the Gurung village of Landruk. Deviating from the villages, we will pass through forests and follow rivers crossing several times suspension bridges. We will spend our night at Jhinu Danda, which is famous for its natural hot spring where we visit in the evening. The day comprises of a total of 5 hours of walk. Overnight at a lodge in Jhinu Danda.
Day 5: Trek from Jhinu Danda to Sinuwa 2340m/5 hours
After a breakfast at lodge, we will start climbing uphill the stone staircases to reach Chhomrong. This also might be quite exhausting to the children and you have several stops for them to rest. After lunch in Chhomrong, we descend to cross Chhomrong Khola. After crossing bamboo, rhododendron, and oak forest, we slowly reach Sinuwa in a total of 5 hours. You will have awesome view of Fishtail Mountain. Overnight at a lodge in Sinuwa.
Day 6: Trek from Sinuwa to Himalaya 2920m/5 hours
As we start walking from Sinuwa, we will cross rhododendron forest, bamboo forest, canyons, and wooden bridges before reaching Dovan, where we will stop for lunch. The trail after lunch comprises avalanche chute and landslide struck area. We will also come across Baraha Than, a small Hindu temple before reaching Himalaya. We will spend our night in a lodge after a 5 hours walk. Overnight at a lodge in Himalaya.
Day 7: Trek from Himalaya to MBC 3700m/5 hours,
As we near the climax of the trek, the climate gets colder. Walking through a rocky path through the forest, we will reach Hinku Cave. Diverting from the avalanche-prone areas, we will head towards Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). There are many glacial moraines on the way. Reaching MBC gives us a taste of achievement awarding us with the spectacular views of Machhapuchhre (6997m), Hiunchuli (6443m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna III (7555m), Gangapurna (7455m), and many other peaks. The day includes 5 hours of trek. Overnight at a lodge in MBC.
Day 8: Trek from MBC to ABC 4130m/2 hours
From MBC, we head towards our main destination i.e. Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). The walk is not very difficult for the day, only 2 hours before we step on the foot of the ABC moraines. At ABC, we can enjoy the spectacular view, and experience the feeling of standing below the giant mountains. Post lunch, we will walk a little further on the moraines to get even beautiful views of the glacier. Overnight at a lodge in ABC.
Day 9: Trek from ABC to Dovan 2505m/5 hours
The morning at ABC will be graced with a view of the beautiful sunrise glistening over the mountains. We can relish the sheer beauty of Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6443m), Annapurna III (7555m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), and other peaks from the base camp. After breakfast, we will pave our way back to MBC, and Deurali, until we reach Dovan. You can cherish the beautiful trail once again. After the 5 hours trek, we will spend our overnight at a lodge in Dovan.
Day 10: Trek from Dovan to Chhomrong 2170m/5 hours
From Dovan, we walk through the rhododendron, oak, and bamboo forests. Tracing our way back, we pass through Bamboo, Sinuwa, and Chhomrong Khola. In about 5 hours of trekking, we will reach Chhomrong. You will have a very good view of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre during sunset time. Overnight at a lodge in Chhomrong.
Day 11: Trek from Chhomrong to Ghandruk Village 1940m/5 hours
Starting from Chhomrong, we commence our 5 hours trek for the day. We will pass through the Burjung and Komrong Villages and then through the oak and rhododendron forests to reach Komrong Danda. There will be the uphill and downhill climb during the day. With the beautiful landscape and magnificent mountains in our sight, we head towards Ghandruk Village. Ghandruk also has a Gurung Museum showcasing old Gurung tradition. Your family can enjoy the traditional Gurung attire here. Also, enjoy the stunning panorama of Machhapuchhre (6993m) and Annapurna South (7219m). Overnight at a lodge in Ghandruk.
Day 12: Trek from Ghandruk to Kimche 1640m/1 hour and drive to Pokhara 820m/4 hours
From Ghandruk, we head slowly towards Kimche, following stone paved staircases on a beautiful trail. From here, we will drive towards Pokhara by 4W driving which takes about 3-4 hours. Overnight at a 4-star/5-star hotel in Pokhara.
Day 13: Morning Hike to World Peace Stupa and afternoon fly back to Kathmandu
Pokhara, one of the most beautiful cities in Nepal, is home to amazing places including the World Peace Pagoda. The hike to the Pagoda will be an interesting one, and upon reaching the top, we can get a breath-taking panorama of the whole Pokhara Valley along with the surrounding mountains. Later, we will visit the lakeside area. In the afternoon, we will fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 14: Final Departure from Kathmandu
On the day of your departure, we will drop your family to the airport for your safe return to home according to your flight schedule.
