Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Bagdogra airport and drive to Gangtok
Arrive Delhi connecting fly to Bagdogra airport. Meet the guide at the airport and drive to Gangtok. (126 km/5 hours). Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: In Gangtok
A leisure day in Gangtok visiting places of tourist interest including Tashi view Point, Ganash Tok, Hanuman Tok and famous Enchey Monastery back to hotel after breakfast other Point visit Tibetology, Institute of Cottage Industry, Dro-Drul Chorten, Rope way and Flower snow world famous Rumtek Monastery. Return Back to hotel. Evening walk at the Mall or shopping/leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Gangtok to Yuksum (Alt. 1780 m)
Drive to Yuksam (1,780 m) from Gangtok. Arrive Yuksom In the evening take a walk to the Yoksom Coronation site, a simple stone bench, where the three monks appointed the first king of Sikkim. Visit the nearby Ani Gompa (Buddhist nunnery). Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Yuksum to Sachen (Alt. 2450 m)
Trek from Yuksum to Sachen taken approx. 6 hours. Trek begins with a low gradient until you cross Sachen and the third bridge, Walk through dense forest of pine and oak after crossing river PrekChu it is straight 70 degree uphill climb this is the toughest stage in the entire trek. It will last for 2 hours depends on the fitness of the clients Finally we will come to Bakhim this is just a resting point for the first day. This campsite has only one hut of forest department in the hilly dense forest. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 5: Sachen to Tshoka (Alt. 3000 m)
Trek then we reach Bakhim the trail from Bakhim passes through magnolia and rhododendron trees the most tiring uphill climb. Tshoka is a small village housing about twelve thatched roof houses mainly Tibetan settlement .If weather remains clear we can see Mount Pandim, Aralunchong, Lama -Lamini,Pandim. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 6: Tshoka to Dzongri (Alt. 4000 m)
Trek from Tshoka to Dzongri is still a steep climbing time taken approx 5 hours we go through dense forest of rhododendrons there’re over 400 flowering species, a place called Deorali Dara provides a magnificent view of mountains.Then we reach Phethang for a break. After Phethang still further climbing we reach Dzongri here the Vegetation is thin and we tend to find only small bushes and shrubs for the night stay here is a tourist hut Its usually overcrowded and noisy. In Dzongri early morning we take a walk to Dabla Khang ( DzongriTop) the view from this place is magnificent one can view all the peaks. Acclimatization here is must for further ascending trekkers. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 7: In Dzongri: Excursion to Laxmi Pokhari
Early risers can get up before dawn to climb to a vantage point on a ridge above the campsite to watch the sunrise on Khangchendzonga, Kabru, Pandim, Rathong, and many other peaks of the Khangchendzonga range. Full day excursion to Laxmi Pokhari. The trial first goes through rhododendron bushes and pasture land for about an hour to Chamaray. From here it is a gradual ascent to Laxmi Pokhari, a big lake cupped in a deep crater. Here you will get good view of Khangchendzonga range, Pandim, Narsing, Kabur, Kabur dome, Koktang etc. If you reach Laxmi Pokhari early and feeling physically fit, an excursion towards Kabur rock will be a rewarding experience. Back to Dzongri. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 8: Dzongri to Tsokha
On this day early morning one can savor views of the mountain peaks by climbing up to Dzongri Top. From here you get a panoramic view of Kabru (7,353m.), Ratong (6,678m), Kanchenjanga (8,534m), Koktang (6,147m), Pandim (6,691m) and Narsingh (5,825m). Towards the west, the Singalila Ridge, which separates Sikkim from. back to Tshoka overnight stay. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 9: Tsokha to Yuksom
Now we are retracing our steps as we return downhill to Yuksom. It is a steep 4,000 ft descent and takes about seven hours. Evening we bid farewell during a gathering with the porters and all the trekking staff. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Yuksom to Pemayantse
After breakfast drive from Yuksom to Pemayantse (55 km/3 hours) via visit Khecheopalri Lake, Khecheopalri Lake is one of the sacred Buddhist mountain lake wherever it is believed that whatever is wished in front of the lake comes true. Myth has its that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface is picked by a bird and continue drive to Pemayantse. Arrive Pemayantse check in hotel. Evening take a pleasant walk enjoying the sun set over Mt. Khangchendzonga. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Pemayantse to Darjeeling
After breakfast transfer from Pemayanste to Darjeeling (110 km/4 hours on the way River Rangit and tea Garden arrive evening check in hotel and free). Overnight at hotel.
Day 12: In Darjeeling
Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around 4 am) to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak. The view is spectacular on a clear weather day. On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. Afternoon visit to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing, Gumbu Rock site and Tibetan Refugee self-help (Closed on Sunday) Center Tea Estate. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Departure from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport
Morning after breakfast transfer from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport (4-5 hours drive/130 km). Our service is finished.
