Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1338m
Our company representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu from where you will be transferred to the hotel. You can make a short visit to Thamel if you wish. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara 25 minutes and drive to Phedi 30 minutes and trek to Dhampus 1650m/2 hours
After the morning breakfast and a short briefing, you will be flown to Pokhara Airport. You will then drive to Phedi, the starting point of the trek. From Phedi, an easy walk on an ascending trail leads you to Dhampus, a village north from the Pokhara valley, besides gorgeous views of golden rice terraces. You will get glimpses of the Annapurna massif from your hotel in Dhampus. Overnight at a lodge in Dhampus.
Day 3: Trek from Dhampus to Landruk Village 1565m/6 hours
A quiet trail through the forest takes you from Dhampus to Landruk village through Pitam Deurali. The trail is embellished with rhododendron forests, Modi River flowing down the hills, and the panoramic view of the Annapurna range. After walking on some flagstone steps for a while, you arrive in the Gurung village of Landruk. Overnight at a lodge in Landruk.
Day 4: Trek from Landruk Village to Ghandruk Village 1940m/5 hours
Enjoying the idyllic rural life and diverse birds and plants along with the backdrop of scenic Himalayas, you will trek from Landruk village to Ghandruk village crossing the Modi River on the way. Ghandruk is the largest Gurung settlement in the Annapurna region and also houses a Gurung Culture Museum. Ghandruk is one of the most popular stops while trekking in the Annapurna region as it hosts stunning panorama of Machhapuchhre (6993m) and Annapurna South (7219m) standing behind the picturesque village. Overnight at a lodge in Ghandruk.
Day 5: Trek from Ghandruk Village to Tadapani 2590m/4 hours
A short trek waits on the fifth day. The trail leads you into a quiet jungle of mostly rhododendron and oak trees along with other numerous species of plants. After an easy walk along the Luprung Danda, you arrive in Tadapani. This place provides the best and closest view of Patal Hiunchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7219m), and Machhapuchhre (6993m). Overnight at a lodge in Tadapani.
Day 6: Trek from Tadapani to Ghorepani 2750m/6 hours
You leave Tadapani and walk amid the lush rhododendron forest on your way to Ghorepani. Enjoying the picturesque view of the snow-capped mountains, you cross suspension bridges over several small streams and cross Deurali Pass (3090m) to arrive in Ghorepani. Ghorepani is one of the biggest villages of the region as well as a popular village among trekkers. An excellent Himalayan panorama is visible from this place. Overnight at a lodge in Ghorepani.
Day 7: Hike to Poon Hill 3210m and trek from Ghorepani to Tikhedunga 1500m/5 hours
The day begins with a hike to Poon Hill, early in the morning, to watch the sunrise. Poonhill is the highest and the last point of this trek. The landscape surrounded by rhododendron and the majestic sight of the Himalayan panorama comprised of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges from the top of Poon Hill is quite dazzling. After your utmost satisfaction with the view, you will hike back to Ghorepani and trek to Tikhedunga on the same day. Overnight at a lodge in Tikhedhunga.
Day 8: Trek from Tikhedunga to Nayapul 1070m/3 hours and drive back to Pokhara 2 hours
Leaving Tikhedhunga, the trail takes us to Nayapul through the settlements of Hille, Sudame, Lamdawali, and Birethanti. Walking on stone steps amid rhododendron forests and glimpses of the Himalayas, you arrive in Nayapul. Enjoying the scenes along the way, you drive back to Pokhara from Nayapul on the same day. Overnight at a 5-star hotel in Pokhara.
Day 9: Morning Hike to World Peace Stupa and afternoon fly back to Kathmandu
You will leave to visit World Peace Stupa, early in the morning. After about 20 minutes’ drive from Lakeside, you will have to hike for about 20 minutes to reach the top of the stupa. The stupa is a synonym of peace and serenity, and you can also enjoy a breathtaking view of Pokhara city and Phewa Lake from the stupa. Then you will walk down through the forest to Phewa Lake for an hour and cross by boat to Lakeside. In the afternoon, you will fly back to Kathmandu. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 10: Final Departure from Kathmandu
The 10-day long trip comes to an end today. After breakfast in the morning, our company representative will drive you to the airport 3 hours prior to your flight schedule.
